Beyond Borders Percussion Ensemble's repertoire focuses on Afro-Caribbean, North Indian, South American and West African traditions with an emphasis on the creation of contemporary, cross-genre experimentation that includes improvisation and composition. This program will include Rose Rhythm (Doudou Ndiaye Rose), Tabla-Tahmeel No. 1 (Halim El-Dabh), 100+BPM (Sunny Jain), and Human Time Machine (Collective Improvisation). The ensemble is directed by Brian Shankar Adler.
