Please join us at Beam Classroom in the Visual Arts Center for “Making Art Work: Spindleworks and its Legacy” with Melissa Warak, Associate Professor of Art History at the University of El Paso, Texas and “Curiosity Cabinets to All Species Parade: Flipping the Script on Museums + Disability” with Jonathan Walz, Director of Curatorial Affairs and Curator of American Art at the Columbus Museum.

Talks to be followed by a panel with Anne Collins Goodyear, exhibition Co-Curator and former Co-Director of the Bowdoin College Museum of Art.

This program is presented in conjunction with the exhibition Celebrating Independence! 50 Years of Spindleworks, 1976-2026 on view at the Bowdoin College Museum of Art through August 16, 2026.
