President Safa Zaki warmly invites you to Hubbard Hall to celebrate the unveiling of Clayton Rose's presidential portrait by artist Lanie Wurzel.

About the Artist
After spending her first year at Bowdoin and taking classes with Mark Wethli and Jim Mullen, painter Lanie Wurzel transferred to Brown University and completed her BA in 2003. She received an MFA in painting from Boston University in 2007.

Wurzel has taught at many institutions throughout New England including the Rhode Island School of Design, Boston University, Montserrat, Mass Art, and the University of New Hampshire, and was the drawing and painting teacher at the Buckingham Browne & Nichols Upper School from 2014 to 2022.
