Traditional Chinese medicine explains acupuncture as a technique for balancing the flow of energy or life force — known as chi or qi- believed to flow through pathways (meridians) in your body. By inserting needles into specific points along these meridians, acupuncture practitioners believe that your energy flow will re-balance.
In the acupuncture clinic, you will find a comfortable seat and Chris, our licensed acupuncturist, will check in to see if you have anything going on needing particular attention otherwise they will apply needles at 4-5 different points accessible (often shoulders, ears, wrists, forearms) for a general re-balancing protocol. You then relax with eyes closed or as you wish, for about 20 minutes until Chris circles back to check back in & remove the needles.
The space is set up to feel like a 'zen den' with calming music and lighting ~ a perfect opportunity for a mini rest & restore.
Chris or our clinic host are happy to answer any questions or address any trepidations. So many students try acupuncture for the very first time in our clinic and often come back on a regular basis for the mind-body reset!

You are welcome to simply stop by the clinic between 11:00a - 12:40 (when the last session has time to start). Chris will wrap everything up and close clinic at 1pm.
