Scott Martin, Bowdoin's new Jazz/Pop piano instructor, will join British-born jazz pianist and writer Tom Porter (Bowdoin Office of Communications and Public Affairs) and jazz vocalist Michele Reid-Vasquez (E. Frederic Morrow Associate Professor of Latin American, Caribbean, and Latinx Studies and Africana Studies) for an evening of two-piano jazz duets with vocals. They will present an upbeat, improvisation-based, program of classic jazz and Latin music standards — both instrumentals and songs sung in Spanish and English. There may also be some surprise guest appearances.
